Mechanical Engineer with a Master's in Design Engineering and 4+ years of experience in production engineering, fixture design, and quality control within battery electrification and advanced manufacturing.
I bridge the gap between design intent and manufacturing reality — ensuring every component is not only well-conceived but reliably producible at scale.
At Northvolt, I worked across production engineering, quality control, and mechanical design for battery manufacturing lines. I designed tooling and fixtures that reduced yield loss from 18% to 2%, and developed in-house test equipment that cut procurement costs by 50%.
Proficient in Siemens NX, CREO, SolidWorks, and Ansys, I bring a systematic, data-driven approach to every design challenge — from concept through to production-ready output.

Designed and developed an in-house Hi-pot Master Block to replace externally procured test equipment. Designed in Siemens NX, prototyped via 3D printing, then sent for precision machining.
The design integrates a copper contact plate with precision-spaced fingers, a housing block for the resistor array (4MΩ, 4W at 4kV/1mA), and an internal cable management system.
Designed left and right hi-pot side blocks with precision grooves to protect battery cell side flanges from deformation during hi-pot testing, along with a custom fixture to locate and secure both blocks.
Full design-to-production cycle completed in under 2 weeks — from initial CAD, custom screw design, 3D print verification, to workshop machining submission.
Identified and resolved a critical production issue where glue accumulation on the thickness measurement shuttle caused cell flanges to detach. Delivered a redesigned gripper head featuring a meshed rubber-faced contact surface.
The new head replaced a solid slot prone to glue trapping with a perforated rubber pad that stays clean under contamination. Prototyped and verified via 3D printing before production alignment.
Engineered a mechanical fixture for the battery cell assembly line to minimise operator-induced stress on prismatic cells during production. Root cause analysis identified inconsistent cell handling as the primary driver of 18% rework yield loss.
The aluminium fixture constrains cells within precise tolerances, removing variability in positioning and contact force. Designed in Siemens NX, validated through iterative prototyping, and implemented on the production line at Northvolt Ett.
